The Alaska Wildlife Troopers arrested Tremaine Lawrence (34) of Washington on an outstanding bench warrant issued by the First Judicial District Court in Ketchikan. Lawrence was originally charged with taking an overlimit of commercial Geoducks and knowingly recording false information on a fish ticket.

On 10/19/2021 at approximately 0801 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a death in Hydaburg. Investigation revealed Charlotte Kristovich, age 87 of Hydaburg, passed away at home from natural causes. Next of kin were on scene and have been notified. The remains were released to the family.

On 10/23/2021 at about 2120 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford near the 1100 Block of Stedman Street. The vehicle was stopped for speeding. Investigation revealed that the passenger Jeannie Gaube, age 19 of Ketchikan had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. Gaube was also found to be violating conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse by being in possession of drug paraphernalia. The original charge stems for Fraud Use of Access Device and Theft 2nd Degree. Further investigation revealed that the driver Roger Suckinaw, age 38 of Ketchikan provided false information to Police and hindered prosecution. Gaube was arrested and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center on her outstanding warrant and VCOR with bail set at $500.00. Suckinaw was arrested for Hindering Prosecution 1st Degree and False Information with No Bail. Suckinaw was also issued traffic citations for DWLR, Speeding, and Fail to Show Proof of Insurance.
