Last Monday, the Ketchikan terminal finally opened up for ticketed passengers--Ketchikan was the only terminal in Southeast still closed.
As you can see in the picture there is a very sad sitting area and it is separated by a guard. If you are an IFA passenger you have to go through the back door and if you are an AMHS customer you have to use the door closest to the agents.
Per a representative of the AMHS, you must be a ticketed passenger to sit in the terminal, the public at large is not allowed to loiter. Regarding why the sad sitting area is so small and depressing looking despite the terminal building being huge?
Well, you know the answer.
