On 05/01/2021 at about 2130 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted and arrested Roderick May, age 39 of Ketchikan in the 2100 Block of Sea Level Drive. May had an outstanding warrant for his arrest reference a PTRP technical violation. May was arrested on his warrant and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $2500.00. Further charges of VCOR are being forwarded to the DAO on May for being in possession of drug paraphernalia. AST would like to thank United States Forest Service Law Enforcement for their assistance with the investigation.

On 05/05/2021 at about 1730 hours, the Alaska State Troopers were contacted by Metlakatla Police Department about two people who had arrived by skiff into Metlakatla. AST and Metlakatla Police Department were able to identify the two individuals as two people with outstanding warrants from Ketchikan. Metlakatla Police Department attempted to contacted the two who both fled on foot. Metlakatla Police Department arrested Brandi Edenshaw, age 26 of POW after a short foot pursuit. The other subject was reported to have got into a boat and fled the area. United States Coast Guard assisted with attempting to locate the boat which fled the area but was not successful with locating the boat. USCG assisted and transported Edenshaw back to Ketchikan where she was remanded on her outstanding warrant which stems from the original charges of Burglary in the 1st Degree and Theft in the 3rd Degree. Bail was set at $5,000. AST and Metlakatla PD would like to thank the USCG for their assistance with the investigation.
UPDATE:
On 05/08/2021 at about 1600 hours, Metlakatla Police Department located and identified the other person who fled from them on 05/05/2021 as James Acker, age 23 of Ketchikan who they observed walking on Tait Street in Metlakatla. Acker had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Ketchikan Court reference Burglary in the 1st Degree and Theft in the 3rd Degree. Upon contact Acker again attempted to flee on foot but after a short foot pursuit was immediately taken into custody. United States Coast Guard (USCG) was patrolling in the area and rendered their assistance and assisted with transporting Acker to Ketchikan where AST met USCG and Metlakatla Police Department. Acker was remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $10,000. Further charges are being forwarded to the District Attorney's Office on Acker. AST and Metlakatla PD would like to thank the USCG for their assistance and fast response.
