Last year we Gideons of Ketchikan were planning a visit to POW for the purpose of Bible Distribution and to seek the possibility of creating a POW wide Gideons Camp…. then COVID-19 struck and we postponed our plans. The point of this announcement is to re-institute our visit for this MAY……..19th - 24th. We will host a luncheon for ALL POW Pastors (&wives) and prospective Gideons in Klawock on Saturday, May 22nd @ 12:00 noon, location TBA. We would also like to visit several churches to present the Gideon vision during Sunday, May 23rd. This is about a 7 minute informal talk.
Any Christian from POW or surrounding islands is welcome to attend the Saturday luncheon and learn about Gideon membership. Tentative Schedule: Arrive via Inter Island Ferry
- Wed Night visit Bible studies in Hollis, Klawock &/or Craig
- Thursday: Group “A” Visit Waterfall Resort; GROUP “B” VISIT ALL LODGES & B&B’S IN Craig
- Friday: Visit Thorn Bay, Coffman Cove & Whale Pass - attend Pastor’s prayer
- Saturday: AM-Group B visit Naukati area B&B’s and lodges AT Noon: Luncheon at Klawock for pastors, wives and prospective POW Gideon Camp members. Group “A” prepares luncheon. PM: After Luncheon visit B&B’s & Lodges in and around Klawock
- Sunday: AM: Visit Churches and give Gideon presentations. PM visit B&B’s & lodges in Craig area.
- Monday: AM…….. Catch the ferry back to Ketchikan.
