On 6-19-2020 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Richard Meeks (61) of Ketchikan for retaining a Yellow Eye rockfish while sportfishing in the Ketchikan area. Yellow eye rockfish were closed to retention by Emergency Order until January 31, 2021 unless superseded by a subsequent emergency order. This violation carries a set fine of $140 and does not require an appearance in the First Judicial District Court in Ketchikan.

On 6/21/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island contacted John Carroll, age 75 of Illinois, while sport fishing in the marine waters near Klawock. Carroll had caught and retained a lingcod, and failed to log the fish on his non-resident sport fish license as required by regulation. Carroll was issued a minor offense citation for the violation.

On 6/21/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island contacted Peter Balasky, age 80 of Florida, while sport fishing in the marine waters near Klawock. Balasky had caught and retained a King Salmon, and failed to log the fish on his non-resident sport fish license as required by regulation. Balasky was issued a minor offense citation for the violation.

On 6/21/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island contacted Brent Smith, age 51 of Craig, while sport fishing in the marine waters near Craig. Smith had caught and retained a 25" King Salmon, in violation of the Saltwater General Provisions. Smith was issued a minor offense citation for the violation.

On 6-20-20 at approximately 0222 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to disturbance at a residence in the 6000 block of Yankee Drive. Investigation revealed that Carie John, age 34 of Ketchikan, had damaged property and assaulted a male inside the residence. She was arrested for Assault IV (DV) and Criminal Mischief V (DV) and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center without bail.

On 6/22/2020, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Ketchikan issued a citation to John Eastabrook, 58 of Ketchikan, for a commercial geoduck overage that occurred on 5/27/2020. The citation requires a mandatory court appearance in the District Court of Ketchikan.

On 6/21/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island located and seized a sport fish dungy pot in the marine waters of Klawock Inlet that had undersized escape rings. Investigation showed that the gear was being fished by Frank Marty, age 71 of California. Marty was issued a minor offense citation for the violation and his gear was returned.

On 6-22-2020 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Erik Gerber (18) of Ketchikan for fishing in Alaska waters without a valid 2020 sport fishing license. This violation carries a set fine of $220 and does not require an appearance in the First Judicial District Court in Ketchikan.

On 6/19/2020, Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a citation to Corey Elkins, 30 yoa of Washington, for harvesting an over limit of commercial geoduck during the 6/10/2020 fishery. The citation has a mandatory court appearance in the District Court in Ketchikan.

On 06/23/2020 at about 2226 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted a suspicious vehicle in the secluded area of Carlanna Lake trailhead. The driver was identified as J'nae Stern, age 18 of Ketchikan. Investigation revealed that Stern was in possession of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia and under the legal age of 21 years old. Stern was issued a Summons at the scene for MICS 6th Degree.

On 6/26/2020 at 1710 hours, Prince of Wales AST observed 37-year-old William Lockhart operating a motor vehicle near 15-mile Hydaburg Highway. AST had prior knowledge that Lockhart had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear in a driving while revoked case, and that his Alaska drivers license is revoked until the year 2064. Lockhart was arrested on the warrant and charged again for driving while license revoked and violating conditions of release. Lockhart was remanded to the Craig Jail.

On 06/27/2020 at about 2141 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted and arrested Jose Crespo-Diaz, age 47 of Ketchikan in the 1800 Block of Tongass Avenue. Crepo- Diaz had an outstanding warrant No Bail warrant reference the original charge of Reckless Endangerment. Crespo-Diaz was remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center

On 06/27/2020 at about 0035 hours, the Alaska State Troopers and the VPSO in Saxman contacted and arrested Michael Baham, age 34 of Ketchikan in the 1700 Block of South Tongass Highway. Baham had an outstanding arrest warrant reference PTRP from the original of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree. Baham was transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $20,000.
