On June 16, 2020, at approximately 1333 hrs, Alaska State Troopers contacted 30-year-old Zachary Scovill-Ho of Ketchikan at a residence near the 2700 block of 4th Avenue. Scovill-Ho was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for his arrest for the felony offenses of Burglary in the second degree and theft in the second degree. Scovill-Ho was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held on $10,000 bail.

On June 17, 2020, at approximately 1350 hrs, Alaska State Troopers received a report that a woman driving northbound on N. Tongass Hwy was being followed by another vehicle. The complainant was instructed to meet with Troopers at their office. A short while later, both vehicles arrived at the Trooper Post. Once parked, the passenger of the following vehicle, identified as 36-year-old Jasmine Booth of Ketchikan, approached the complainant’s vehicle and physically assaulted her. Booth then took a fighting stance and appeared to challenge the complainant to fight her.
AST took Booth into custody for the misdemeanor offense of disorderly conduct. Charges will also be forwarded for the misdemeanor offense of assault in the fourth degree. Booth was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center and ultimately released on her own recognizance.

On 06/17/2020, at approximately 1543 hours, Samantha Wright (age 24 of Ketchikan) escaped from the Ketchikan Correctional Facility. Anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts are encouraged to call the Alaska State Troopers at 907-225-5118.

On 06/17/2020, at approximately 1902 hours, Alaska State Troopers arrested Mary McLaughlin (age 23 of Ketchikan) on a $10,000 arrest warrant. McLaughlin was remanded at the Ketchikan Correctional Center.

On June 17, 2020, at approximately 0715 hrs, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence off Roosevelt Drive for a reported family disturbance. Subsequent investigation revealed 26-year-old Ava Catlett of Ketchikan had physically assaulted a family member. Catlett was taken into custody for the misdemeanor offense of assault in the fourth degree, involving domestic violence. Catlett was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was held without bail, pending arraignment.

On 6/16/2020 The Prince of Wales State Troopers began a domestic violence investigation into an assault that occurred on 6/11/2020 and continued up until 6/12/2020. The investigation resulted in the arrest of 48-year-old Darren Swedberg of Craig for Assault IV (DV), Assault III (DV), and Misconduct Involving Weapons in the 2nd Degree. Swedberg was remanded to the Craig Jail pending arraignment.
On 6/15/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island located and seized a personal use dungy pot in the marine waters near Craig that did not have the required escape rings. Investigation showed that the gear was being fished by Christine Collins, age 43 of Craig. Collins was cited for the violation, and the gear was returned.

On 6/15/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island located and seized a personal use dungy pot in the marine waters near Craig that did not have the required biodegradable escape mechanism. Investigation showed that the gear was being fished by Brent Cole, age 63 of Craig. Cole was cited for the violation, and the gear was returned.

Investigation showed that the gear was being fished by Chad Russell, age 42 of Craig. Russell was cited for the violation, and the gear was returned.

Investigation showed that the gear was being fished by Arthur Gillidette, age 75 of Craig. Gillidette was cited for the violation, and the gear was returned.

On 6/14/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island were patrolling the marine waters near Klawock, when they located a personal use dungy pot that did not have the required escape rings. Investigation showed that the pot was being fished by Sean Tomkinson, age 53 of Klawock. Tomkinson was cited for the violation and the pot was returned.
