On 2/19/2020, Prince of Wales State Troopers assisted Craig Police Department in serving multiple arrest warrants and search warrants at 6317 B Street in Klawock. During the search of the residence, troopers discovered a large cache of drugs, packaging material and cash. The investigation resulted in the arrest of 54 year old Loretta Mortell of Klawock for Misconduct involving a controlled substance 2 and 3. The search yielded over 40 grams of packaged methamphetamine, over 20 grams of heroin, and over $10,000 in cash. The seized drugs had an estimated street value of over $19,000. Mortell was transported and remanded to the Craig Jail pending arraignment.

On 2/20/2020 at 1500 hours, the Hydaburg VPSO and Prince of Wales State Troopers arrested 31 year old Jessica Montgomery of Hydaburg. Montgomery had an outstanding arrest warrant for violating conditions of probation. Montgomery was transported to the Craig Jail and remanded on $10,000 bail.

On 2/21/2020, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a citation to Alexander Pennino, 43 of Ketchikan, for failing to have the proper biodegradable escape mechanism on his personal use shrimp gear. The violation has a set fine of $100 with a $20 court surcharge or an optional court appearance in the First Judicial District Court in Ketchikan.

On February 22, 2020, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island contacted 25 year old Marilyn Bell-Holter in Hollis at the IFA terminal. Marilyn was subsequently arrested for a probation violation and transported to the Craig Jail where she was remanded without bail.

On 2/22/2020 at 1530 hours, Prince of Wales State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1986 Chevrolet pickup for a moving violation. The driver, 37 year-old Hydaburg resident William Lockhart was discovered to have a revoked drivers license. Investigation revealed multiple convictions for the same offense. Lockhart was arrested for driving while license revoked and no liability motor-vehicle insurance. Lockhart was remanded to the Craig Jail.

Type: Unlawful Storage Commercial Dungeness Crab GearDispatch Text:
On 2/17/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Sitka Post located and seized two commercial Dungeness crab pots in fishing condition belonging to the F/V Sea Mistress from the Hoonah Sound area. Investigation revealed that Kenyatta Bradley age 31, of Sitka was fishing the gear during the 2019 fall/winter season which had closed 11/30/19. Bradley was cited for unlawful storage with an arraignment set in the district court at Sitka.
