Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island located and inspected three personal use Dungy pots while patrolling the marine waters near Hydaburg. None of the pots had the required biodegradable escape mechanism. Investigation showed that the pots were being fished by Matthew Carle age 69 of Hydaburg. Carle was issued an AUC for an escape mechanism violation and the pots were returned.

Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island located and inspected a personal use Dungy pot while patrolling the marine waters of the Klawock Inlet. The pot did not have the required biodegradable escape mechanism. Investigation showed that the pot was being fished by Ronald Henry age 67 of Craig. Henry was issued an AUC for an escape mechanism violation.

Type: Fail to return hunt report

On 04/16/2019, Dale Withem 40 YOA of Ketchikan, was cited by Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Ketchikan Post, for failing to return his hunt report in the time required. Withem was cited after an investigation revealed he failed to return his Moose hunt report for permit RM038 in the time required. Bail is set at $120 in the Ketchikan court.

On 4/17/2019, Prince of Wales State Troopers were notified of a structure fire in the community of Hydaburg that occurred on 4/16/19. The State Fire Marshall Office has been requested to assist in the investigation.

Type: Warrant Arrest

On 4/17/2019 at 1430 hours, Prince of Wales State Troopers arrested 30 year old Jessica Montgomery after observing her walking in Hydaburg. The Troopers knew Montgomery to have an arrest warrant for an existing probation case. Montgomery was arrested and remanded to the Craig Jail on $5000 bail.
