On January 20, 2019, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by 30 year old Klawock resident Kolton Tipton. During the course of the investigation, multiple search warrants were served, resulting in Tipton being arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance II, Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV, and Violating Conditions of Release. Tipton was transported to the Craig Jail where he was remanded without bail. The Alaska State Troopers received assistance with the case from the United States Forest Service and Klawock Police Department.

On January 20, 2019, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island were conducting an investigation into drug distribution. During the course of the investigation, 35 year old Klawock resident, Jared Leichty was contacted. Jared was arrested and transported to the Craig Jail where he was remanded without bail for two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance III. The Alaska State Troopers were assisted by the United State Forest Service and Klawock Police Department.

On 01/19/2019 at about 0401, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a white Nissan X-Terra in the 3600 block of Tongass Avenue. The vehicle was stopped for a moving violation. Investigation revealed that the driver Jessica Gaube, age 26 of Ketchikan was in possession of Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Further investigation revealed that Gaube was in possession of approximately 22 grams of Heroin hidden on her person. Approximately 1 gram of Methamphetamine was also seized. Gaube was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with No Bail. The street value of the Heroin and Methamphetamine in Ketchikan is approximately $12,000. The Alaska State Troopers would like to thank Ketchikan Police Department for their assistance.

On January 20, 2019, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation. The driver was identified as 22 year old Klawock resident Ramona Collins. Collins was found to be violating her conditions of release. Collins was arrested and transported to the Craig Jail where she was held without bail for Violating Conditions of Release and No Liability Insurance.

On January 22, 2019, Alaska State Troopers contacted 34 year old Angelina McDonald, of Ketchikan, at a residence on N. Tongass Highway. McDonald was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for her arrest for failure to appear for court on the original charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree. McDonald was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was held on $10,000.00 bail.

On 1/22/2019, Prince of Wales State Troopers conducted a traffic stop in Klawock on a vehicle for expired registration. During the course of the investigation, Troopers secured a Winchester 30-30 caliber rifle. A routine check in NCIC (National Crime Information Center), revealed the rifle had been reported as stolen from Bonner County Idaho on 4/13/2000. The firearm was seized pending return to Idaho.

On 01/23/19, at 0205 hours, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island contacted Drakkar R Smith (22 y/o) of Klawock after he was observed entering the Petro Marine Services resale facility in Klawock. The contacted led to the Smith being arrested on four counts of Criminal Trespass in the 1st Degree and one count of Theft in the 4th Degree. Additional investigation led to Smith being charged with one count of Evidence Tampering. Smith was transported and remanded to the Craig Jail. The investigation was initiated on 01/14/19, when Petro Marine Services reported multiple fuel thefts which had occurred at their resale facility.

On 01/23/2019 at about 1651 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted a white Toyota in the secluded area of Connell Lake parking lot. Investigation revealed that a 17-year old male, of Ketchikan was smoking and in possession of Marijuana and Under the Legal age of 21. A search of the vehicle was done and further evidence showed that the juvenile was in possession of Marijuana with intent to sale. Family arrived on scene to take control of the vehicle and Juvenile. Further investigation revealed that one of the family members, Ramzy Entwit, age 24, of Ketchikan who was at the scene sold the Marijuana to the 17-year old juvenile. Entwit was arrested for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with No Bail. Charges are being forwarded to juvenile intake on the 17-year old for MICS 4th Degree. The juvenile was released to his guardian.

On 1/24/2019, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Ketchikan issued Michael McLavey (34 yoa) a citation for failing to return his 2018 CM300 permit hunt report as required by the permit. The violation has a set bail of $120.00
