On December 30, 2018 at about 1:18AM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island responded to a residence after receiving a report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed 42 year old Klawock resident Anne Ritchey assaulted a household member and broke multiple items in the residence. Anne was arrested and transported to the Craig Jail where she was remanded for Assault IV and Criminal Mischief IV.

On 12-30-18 at approximately 2330 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance at a residence near 11 mile North Tongass Highway. Investigation revealed Toby Perry, age 27 of Ketchikan placed another in fear of imminent physical injury. Perry was arrested and remanded to the Ketchikan Correctional Center on the charge of Assault IV.

On December 30, 2018 at about 2:25PM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation. Troopers contacted the driver, 28 year old Tally Carlson and passenger, 33 year old Tony Stevens. Investigation resulted in Carlson being arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Stevens being arrested for a Probation Violation.

On 12/31/2018 at about 2319 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted Harvey Shields III, age 25, of Ketchikan at mile 1 of the South Tongass Highway after AST observed Shields III who appeared to be intoxicated and almost falling down and into a lane of travel on the South Tongass Highway. Investigation revealed that Shields III was violating conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse by consuming alcohol. Shields III was arrested and transported to Ketchikan Correctional Center with No Bail.

On 01/01/2019 at about 0048 hours, the Alaska State Trooper conducted a traffic stop on a blue Ford Explorer at mile 7 of the North Tongass Highway. Investigation revealed that the driver, Blake Foy, age 24 of Ketchikan was operating a motor vehicle when under the influence of alcohol. Foy was arrested for DUI and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center.

On December 30, 2018, at about 10:15AM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island responded to Hydaburg after receiving a report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed 20 year old Nick Nix assaulted a family member and damaged property. Troopers were unable to locate Nick that day. On December 31, 2018, Nick turned himself in to troopers in Hydaburg. Nick was arrested and transported to the Craig Jail where he was remanded for Assault IV DV and Criminal Mischief IV DV.

On 1/4/2019, Prince of Wales State Troopers arrested 44 year old Felicia Smith of Hydaburg. Smith had an outstanding warrant for violating conditions of release. Smith was remanded to the Craig Jail with bail set at $2000.

On 01/03/2019 at about 0038 hours, the Alaska State Troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a green 1998 GMC Jimmy near Mile 2 of the South Tongass Highway. The vehicle was stopped for having no license plates displayed on the vehicle and the driver had an outstanding arrest warrant. Investigation revealed that the driver Rhiana Sanford, age 25 of Ketchikan pulled over and then fled the scene as AST attempted to make contact. Sanford was observed traveling at a high rate of Speed and at one point spinning circles around a light pole. Sanford attempted to flee in the Martin Bugge neighborhood before reaching a dead end on Lode Lane. Sanford was contacted and arrested as she attempted to flee out the passenger side door. Sanford was remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with No Bail. Futher investigation revealed subsequent to a search warrant on the vehicle that Sanford was in possession of non-prescribed medication and drug related paraphernalia. Charges are being forwarded to the District Attorneys Office. AST would like to thank Ketchikan Police Department for their assistance and fast response.
