On 08/01/2020 at about 2150 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted and arrested Michael Guthrie, age 31 of Ketchikan at a residence in the 700 Block of Forest Park Drive. Guthrie had five outstanding warrants for his arrest reference VCOR from the original charge of Assault in the 4th Degree DV. Further investigation revealed that Guthrie was again in violation of COR by being intoxicated by alcohol and in contact with a person the court requested he stay away from. Guthrie was remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $4,000.

On 07/30/2020 at about 1855 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a red Buick near the intersection of North Tongasss Highway and North Point Higgins. The vehicle was stopped after it was reported involved in a disturbance at Settlers Cove Campground. Investigation revealed that the driver, Izaak Whitney, age 18 of Ketchikan was in violation for current conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse reference the original charges of DUI, and MICS 6th Degree. Whitney was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and Marijuana and was under the legal age of 21 years old. Whitney was arrested and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center.

On 7/19/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island located and seized a personal use dungy pot in the marine waters of Coffman Cove that did not have the required biodegradable escape mechanism. Investigation showed the gear was being fished by Gary Wilburn, age 73 of Coffman Cove. Wilburn was later contacted and issued a minor offense citation for the violation and his gear was returned.

On 7/19/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island located and seized a personal use dungy pot in the marine waters of Coffman Cove that did not have the required biodegradable escape mechanism. Investigation showed the gear was being fished by Chadwick Dillman, age 41 of Coffman Cove. Dillman was later contacted and issued a minor offense citation for the violation and the gear was returned.

On 8/1/2020 the Alaska Wildlife Troopers summonsed Shad McConnell, (50) of Ketchikan, for taking a Sitka blacktail deer within the Ketchikan road system closed area. This offense requires a mandatory court appearance in the First Judicial Court in Ketchikan

Type: False Information on Fish Ticket / Commercial Geoduck OverageDispatch Text:
Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Ketchikan have charged Troy Fillmore, 26 of Washington, and Kristian Herr, 32 of Washington, for falsifying ADF&G fish tickets as well as commercial Geoduck overages. The charges stem from an investigation started by Alaska Wildlife Troopers on June 11th of this year which revealed both men falsely claimed to have fished a certain statistical area when they had not. As a result of the investigation Alaska Wildlife Troopers further revealed both men had overharvested geoduck in the statistical area both men had actually fished. Both Fillmore and Herr have been summoned to appear in the District Court of Ketchikan.

On 8/5/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island contacted Guy Cavazos, age 59 of Texas, sport fishing in the marine waters of Sea Otter Sound. Investigation revealed that Cavazos had caught and retained an undersized King Salmon. Cavazos was issued a minor offense citation for the violation.

On 8/5/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island contacted Patrick Galloway, age 30 of Edna Bay, sport fishing in the marine waters of Sea Otter Sound. Investigation revealed that Galloway did not have a valid Alaska sport fish license in his possession. Galloway was issued a minor offense citation for the violation.

On 8/5/20, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island contacted Victoria Werner, age 21 of California, sport fishing in the marine waters of Sea Otter Sound. Investigation revealed that Werner did not have a valid Alaska sport fish license in her possession. Werner was issued a minor offense citation for the violation.
