On 07/27/2019 at about 2305 hours, the Alaska State Troopers and US Forest Service LEO responded to a residence on Huddle road reference a Felony Arrest Warrant Service. AST located and arrested Jacob Lassiter, age 18 of Ketchikan. Lassiter had an outstanding arrest warrant issued for PTRP reference the original offense of Assault in the 2nd Degree. Lassiter was arrested and transported to Ketchikan Correctional Center with $15,000 bail. Further investigation revealed that Bronson Murphy, age 19 of Ketchikan was also in the residence and attempted to hinder the apprehension of Lassiter by not immediately opening the door when directed to by AST. Murphy was also found to be on current conditions of release reference the original charge of Burglary 1st Degree, and Criminal Trespass 1st Degree. Murphy was arrested and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center on the charges of Hindering Prosecution in the 1st Degree and VCOR with No Bail.

UPDATE:
On July 26, 2019 at approximately 0058 hours, Alaska State Troopers (AST) received the report of a suspicious male subject in the area of Kelly Drive. AST responded and located the man as he was inside a storage container. Subsequent investigation revealed 19-year-old Bronson Murphy of Ketchikan entered the container unlawfully with the intent to take property not belonging to him. Murphy was taken into custody and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center for Burglary in the Second Degree and Criminal Trespass 1st Degree. A second suspect(s) fled the area on foot upon AST's arrival and was observed by a witness being in a garage of a dwelling. Evidence was collected at the scene and suspects have been developed. Case is still under investigation.
On July 27, 2019 AST arrested Jacob Lassiter, age 18 of Ketchikan on a Felony Arrest Warrant. Subsequent Investigation revealed that Lassiter was one of the suspect(s) who fled on foot at the Burglary scene on 07/26/2019. Lassiter was remanded for Burglary in the 1st Degree and Criminal Trespass in the 1st Degree and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with No Bail.

Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island located two dungy pots in the marine waters near Hydaburg that did not have the required biodegradable escape mechanism. Investigation showed the gear was being fished by James Cook, age 53 of Hydaburg. Cook was later contacted and issued a citation for the escape mechanism violation.

Alaska Wildlife Troopers on Prince of Wales Island located a dungy pot in the marine waters near Hydaburg that did not have the required biodegradable escape mechanism. Investigation showed the gear was being fished by Sidney Edenshaw, age 56 of Hydaburg. Edenshaw was later contacted and issued a citation for the escape mechanism violation.

On July 29, 2019, at about 2:50PM, the Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales island contacted 32 year old Allison Grant in Hydaburg. Grant was arrested on her outstanding warrant and transported to the Craig Jail where she was remanded.

On 7/31/2019 at approximately 1226 hours, Prince of Wales State Troopers received 2nd hand information that 43 year old Michael Taylor from Montana was injured on Dall Island. Taylor was accompanied by other individuals who utilized an inReach to communicate Taylor's medical condition and their exact location. The US Coast Guard was requested to assist in the rescue operation. Coast Guard Sitka responded, and transported Taylor to the Klawock Clinic for the injuries

On 8/1/2019 at 1028 hours, Prince of Wales State Troopers assisted the Klawock Police Department contacting 37 year old Terra Adams at a business in Klawock. Adams is on supervised probation for the original charge of MICS II and Forgery. Based on the search requested by Adult Probation, Adams was arrested for violating her probation. During the search, methamphetamine and heroin was seized along with other evidence indicative of distribution. The investigation also resulted in the arrest of 30 year old LySandra Bell of Ketchikan for MICS II and MICS III. Both Adams and Bell were remanded to the Craig Jail. Investigation is ongoing, with other charges anticipated.
