On 06/16/2019, Carl S Hernandez 30 YOA of Point Baker AK, was cited by Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Ketchikan Post, for failing to return his hunt report in the time required. Hernandez was cited after investigation revealed he failed to return his Moose hunt report for permit RM038 in the time required. Bail is set at $120 in the Ketchikan court.

On 06/16/2019 at about 1100 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted and later arrested Melissa Charles, age 27 of Hydaburg and Laneea Naufahu, age 41, of Anchorage after investigation revealed that the two worked together to bring Methamphetamine, Heroin, and pills into Ketchikan in an attempt to distribute. A total of 39 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, 39 grams of suspected Heroin, and pills were seized during the contact. The estimated total street value of seized narcotics is $30,000. Further charges are pending and will be forwarded to the District Attorney's Office. AST would like to thank the Ketchikan Airport PD, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, and US Forest Service for their assistance with the investigation. M. Charles and L. Naufahu were remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with No Bail.
