On 06/5/2019, Joseph P Griffin JR, 52 of Ketchikan, was cited by Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Ketchikan Post, for talking a Brown Bear without a registration hunt permit. Griffin was cited after investigation revealed he had taken a Brown Bear in Unit 1A on 05/19/2019 without obtaining a 2019 Brown Bear registration hunt permit. Bail is set at $170 in the Ketchikan court.

On 6/14/2019 at 1801 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1995 Chevrolet Van for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed the driver, 62 year old Larry Burrows, of Naukati Bay was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Burrows was issued multiple citations and remanded to the Craig Jail for DUI.

On 06/13/2019 at about 2328 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a red Nissan Pick-up near the intersection of Pond Reef road and North Tongass Highway. The vehicle was stopped for not having the headlights activated. Investigation revealed that the driver Serena Totten, age 19 of Washington was in possession of Marijuana when Under the Legal Age of 21 years old. Totten was issued a Summons for Misconduct Involving A Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree and a traffic citation for Failure to Show Proof of Insurance.
