Ketchikan Police Report Week of May 21, 2019

On 05/21/19 at approximately 2210 hours, officers responded to 1200 Woodside Drive due to a report of a domestic assault in progress. Christina A. Carlberg, age 42, was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree – Domestic Violence. She was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 05/22/19 at approximately 0649 hours, officers contacted Christopher J. Bevis, age 48, in the Grant Street parking lot talking to a female. He had been court ordered not to be contact with the female. Mr. Bevis was arrested for Unlawful Contact in the 1st Degree and Violation of Conditions of Release. He was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On5/23/19 at approximately 1530 hours, officers responded to 2400 block of Tongass Avenuefor a report or harassment and contacted Robert Dorian, age 63. Mr. Dorian was intoxicated and he had court ordered conditions not to consume alcohol. He was issued a citation for Violating Conditions of Release with a mandatory court date.

On 05/23/19 at approximately 2005 hours, officers responded to the 2500 block of 4th Avenue for a report of an assault that occurred. Officers contacted Demetrius Winter, age 26. Based on the investigation, Mr. Winter was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree - Domestic Violence. He was transported to the state jail and held without bail.

On 05/24/19 at approximately 1427 hours, officers responded to the 500 block of Dock Street for a report of two males fighting and one male was armed with a knife. The investigation revealed a male, age 29, was stabbed in the head by Johnathan Jackson, age 36. The 29 year old male was transported to the hospital and treated for his injuries. Officers were searching for Mr. Jackson and at approximately 1945 hours he was found and arrested for Assault in the 1st Degree. He was transported to the state jail and held without bail. Mr. Jackson was later indicted by a Grand Jury for Attempted Murder in the 1st Degree, Assault in the 1st Degree and Assault in the 2nd Degree. Mr. Jackson’s bail was set at $10,000.00.

On 5/25/19 at approximately 0134 hours, officers responded to the 2700 block of 4th Avenue for a report of an assault. Officers contacted Jason Woody, age 43, and based on their investigation; Mr. Woody was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree - Domestic Violence. He was transported to the state jail and held on no bail.

On 5/26/19 at approximately 0206 hours, officers responded to the 400 block of Main Street for a report of an assault. Michael Guthrie, age 35, was identified as the suspect and left prior to the officers’ arrival. Later in the day, officer located Mr. Guthrie in the 300 block of Bawden Street.He was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree - Domestic Violence. He was transported to the state jail and held on no bail.

On 5/26/19 at approximately 0355 hours, officers responded to the 600 block of Park Avenue for a report of a male trespassing. Officers arrived but the male had left prior to their arrival. Damion Mask, age 41, was identified as the male. He was later located and arrested for Criminal Mischief in the 5th Degree - Domestic Violence. He was transported to the state jail and held on no bail.

On 5/27/19 at approximately 0459 hours, officers were on patrol in the 4400 block of North Tongass Highway when they observed a black Ford F-150 pickup parked in a dirt parking lot with debris hanging out the driver window. Officers contacted Daniel Roach, age 58, inside the vehicle. Based on their investigation he was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Violation of Conditions of Release. He was transported to the state jail and held on $1,250.00 bail.

On 05/27/19 at approximately 1928 hours, officers responded to the 5100 block of the North Tongass Highway due to a report of a van striking a guard rail. Officers located the vehicle and contacted Mark E. Towner, age 48, and Felicia A. Burton, age 42. Mr. Towner was identified as the driver and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. Ms. Burton, the passenger, was arrested for Violation of Conditions of Release. They were transported to the state jail. Mr. Towner was held on $500.00 bail. Ms. Burton was held on $250.00 bail.

On 05/27/19 at approximately 1930 hours, officers responded to Ryus Float at Berth 2 for a report of two intoxicated males in the water, calling for help. After being rescued from the water, Harrison Willmore, age 25, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct-Violent/Tumultuous and Jordan Willmore, age 28, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct-Loud Noise. Both men were transported to the state jail and set to be released on their own recognizance.

On 5/27/19 at approximately 2145 hours, officers responded to the 800 block of Water Street for a report of an assault. Based on the investigation, an arrest warrant was requested and granted for Deanna Ermaloff, age 40, for Burglary in the 1st Degree, Assault in the 4th Degree - Domestic Violence, Criminal Mischief in the 5th Degree - Domestic Violence, and Violation of Conditions of Release.

On 5/28/2019 at approximately 2147 hours, Officers contacted Ms. Ermaloff in the 1200 block of Tongass Avenue. She was arrested on the warrant and during the contact she was found to be in violation of her conditions of release. She was transported to the state jail and held without bail.On 05/30/19 at approximately 2236 hours, officers contacted Ralph Wall, age 58, in the 3300 block of First Street. Mr. Wall had a warrant for his arrest for Failure to Appear. He was arrested, transported to the state jail and held on $100 bail.


On 05/31/19 at about 1400 hours, officers contacted Johnathon Thomason, age 36, in the 3800 block of Tongass Avenue due to a report of his vehicle being high centered on a curb. Mr. Thomason was intoxicated and he was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. He was transported to the state jail and was set to be released on his own recognizance.

On 5/31/19 at approximately 1254 hours, officers were dispatched to the 3100 block on Tongass Avenue, Ketchikan Medical Center, for a report of a male being stabbed with a knife. Officers responded and contacted a 60 year old male who had a 4” laceration to his right hand. That male stated that Kevin R. Callahan, age 55, sliced him with a knife. Mr. Callahan was contacted at the scene of the assault and arrested. He was transported to the state jail where he was held without bail on one count of Assault in the 2nd Degree.

On 06/01/19 at approximately 2356 hours, officers responded to the 2400 block of Tongass Avenue for a report of a shoplifter in custody. Officers contacted Johnathan Anderson, age 31. Anderson was arrested for Theft in the 4th Degree. He was transported to the state jail and set to be released on his own recognizance.

On 06/02/19 at approximately 1040 hours, officers contacted Vaughn Swanson, age 25, at his residence due to a report of an assault. After further investigation, Swanson was arrested for Assault in the 2nd Degree; he was remanded at the state jail and held without bail.
