On 05/18/2019 at about 1932 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a brown Ford Van in the 600 Block of Stedman Street. The vehicle was pulled over for failure to use a turn signal. Investigation revealed that the driver James Lorme, age 47 of Ketchikan was found to be violating current conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse by possessing drug paraphernalia. The original charge was MICS 2nd Degree, and MICS 3rd Degree. Lorme was arrested and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $1250.00.

On 05/21/2019 at about 2053 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted and arrested Kitt Samuel, age 21 of Ketchikan in the 2000 Block of Sea Level Drive. Samuel had two outstanding arrest warrants issued by the Ketchikan Court reference the original charges of Violating a Domestic Violence Protective Order. Samuel was transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with No Bail.

On 5/23/2019 at approximately 0755 hours, Prince of Wales State Troopers responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle crash near 8 mile Klawock/Hollis Highway. Investigation of evidence on scene, eye-witnesses interviews led troopers to the identity of the driver. Separate interviews revealed the vehicle owner attempted to conceal the true identity of the driver. Multiple charges will be forwarded to the Ketchikan District Attorneys Office on the driver and vehicle owner. Alcohol is believed to be a major factor to this incident.

On 05/22/2019 at about 2318 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop of a Ford Pick-Up near the intersection of Schoenbar Road and Water Street. The vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed that the driver, Brandon Reinke, age 34 of Ketchikan had an outstanding warrant for his arrest reference the original charge of No Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance. Reinke was also found to be operating a motor vehicle while his license was Revoked. Reinke was transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center and also issued a traffic citation for DWLR.

On 05/22/2019 at about 2210 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a Welfare Check on a male who was observed sitting down and falling asleep on the side of the road at mile 2 of the South Tongass Highway. Investigation revealed that Daniel Charles, age 53 of Ketchikan was violating current conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse by being intoxicated by alcohol. The original charges stem from Assault 4th Degree, and Harassment 1st Degree. Charles was arrested and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $250.00.

Type: Violate Domestic Violence Protective OrderDispatch Text:
On 05/23/2019 at about 2005 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a Domestic Violence Protective Order (DVPO) violation at a residence in the 2500 Block of Eagle Avenue. Alaska State Troopers responded to the residence. Investigation revealed that Floyd Jackson, age 52 of Ketchikan was in violation of a DVPO by being at the residence. Jackson was arrested for Violating a DVPO and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with No Bail.
