[Editorial] Lol, Roseanne Show Canceled AGAIN....

So Roseanne Barr's show was canceled by Disney (who owns ABC) Tuesday after Roseanne made this tweet:

I had to look this up, 'vj' is 'Valerie Jarrett'....I don't even know who Valerie Jarrett is...

Hold on...

Nope, that wasn't it...

There she is:

Seriously, who is VJ?

Valerie June Jarrett (née Bowman; born November 14, 1956) is an American attorney, businesswoman, and civic leader. She served as the senior advisor to the President of the United States and assistant to the president for public engagement and intergovernmental affairs in the Obama administration from January 20, 2009 to January 20, 2017. Prior to that, she served as a co-chair of the Obama–Biden Transition Project.

Apparently, some on the right are also accusing Jarrett of spying on Trump:

In a Tuesday appearance on Fox News, Newt Gingrich said that he believed former President Barack Obama and some of his top officials – including Valerie Jarrett – were involved in spying on Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign[.] ...

"Presently, someone will figure out to ask what did Valerie Jarrett know and when did she know it?" Gingrich said. "What did Barack Obama know and when did he know it? Because what you're seeing happen is, on every single level – and this is what happens with really big scandals – they keep on folding and they keep on folding and they keep on folding."

Former press secretary Ari Fleischer agrees that such an operation could have been authorized only with the full knowledge of Jarrett and Obama:

Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer said Thursday he believes it's highly unlikely that President Obama did not know an FBI informant was in the Trump campaign.

"We need to know why did it begin, who authorized it and what role did Barack Obama have. Did he know the FBI had informants there? I'll guarantee you the answer is yes. No FBI would put informants in another presidential campaign without permission from the White House, including the president," he said on "Outnumbered."

Anywho, Back to Roseanne

I've never watched Roseanne and don't know anything about it/her other than she is pro-Trump and her show was number one on ABC on Television.

So, I really don't have a dog in this fight other than I'm tired of people getting artificially upset over stupid comments that are said on twitter (which is 100% made up of people saying stupid things).  Disney claimed that they canceled the show because the tweet was 'racist'....I know I come from a younger generation, yet I'm pretty confident when I write, "nobody actually thinks that tweet was 'racist'". What is racist about it? Serious question, i'm not trying to be pedantic.

On the same vein does anyone even know what 'racism' means anymore? Last time I checked EVERYTHING WAS RACIST. Meaning nothing is racist. Meaning, that people use that term as a political tool to ruin a person's (that they hate) life and career.

The irony is real because i'm concerned someone will call my article racist...

In this case, Roseanne is a 'comedian' and comedians have always been known to be the guardians of pushing free-speech. Now often they don't do so tactfully:

However, to cancel the Number 1 Show on television over a simple stupid tweet that was clearly satire just shows a clear cut case that sometimes Corporations don't just do things for money. They also do things more often than not for political and ideological reasons. ABC/Disney didn't like that Roseanne was the only moderately conservative show on television and they wanted to stick it to those viewers and conveniently they used this tweet as an excuse. That's my interpretation of the events and that's exactly the reason why Last Man Standing was cancelled. Talking of which:

In related news Fox picks up Last Man Standing

The show was canceled by ABC last year shortly after Allen, who was a Trump supporter, compared being a conservative in Hollywood to "30s Germany." ABC insisted that the cancelation had nothing to do with Allen's politics but instead was because the network had to pay a substantial licensing fee to 20th Century, the series' production company, and because Allen's contract was ending, and a new deal with the actor would have been prohibitively expensive. Allen disputed this, and insisted it was canceled because of his politics.

After the reboot of "Roseanne" was a surprise success for ABC this spring, networks started shopping for more series that were appealing to middle America, and that address working-class issues. Networks also began looking for multi-camera sitcoms which are less expensive to produce than single-camera comedies. ABC considered bringing "Last Man Standing" back to pair with "Roseanne," but ultimately passed on the series.

Ha! I didn't even realize Last Man Standing was ALSO on ABC...how ironic...

In a statement announcing the news, Tim Allen wrote: "Excited? Team LMS was in the sixth inning, ahead by four runs, stands were packed and then for no reason, they call off the game. It leaves you sitting in the dugout, holding a bat and puzzled. Now we get the news from Fox that it's time to get back out on that diamond — hell yes, I'm excited! When I heard the offer to create more episodes of Last Man Standing, I did a fist pump so hard I threw my back out. It's the fans! I could not be more grateful for the fans who wrote petitions and kept up the passion and incredible support for the show. And a fist pump, ouch, for Dana Walden and Gary Newman at Fox for not only listening to the fans, but for making the bold move to bring 'Last Man Standing' back. I'm sure audiences will be curious to see what we look like after all these years. Oh, has it only been one year? Well, just goes to show you — a lot can happen in a year."

What do you think of this whole situation? Am I right? Am I wrong? You decide!
