As you may be aware, a couple of years ago Facebook cracked down on the private sales of firearms on their buy, sell, trade groups and pages. Currently their policy reads:
The purchase, sale or trade of firearms, ammunition and explosives between private individuals isn't allowed on Facebook. This includes:
Rifles
Shotguns
Machine guns
Handguns
Pistols
Revolvers
Firearm receivers
Antique guns
Black powder firearms
Muzzle-loading firearms
BB guns
Airsoft guns
Air guns
Air rifles
Paintball markers
Firearm replicas
Non-functioning firearms
Curios and relics
Destructive devices such as bombs, grenades, rockets, missiles or mines
We understand that some of these items may not be legally regulated everywhere people use Facebook. In order to enforce our policies as fairly and consistently as possible, we use one broad set of standards for the entire Facebook community.
Of course so far POW and the outlining communities have been doing pretty well cause we are awesome! However, there has been a recent migration of "Fake Alaskans" to our great state who tend to ruin and spoil everything because of their burning hatred of 'Paperweights." Have no fear Zack Cross of Ketchikan has stepped up to the plate and created an alternative for residents to sell "Paperweights."

I know we in SE Alaska have Facebook and Craigslist for classifieds – you can buy all sorts of illegal things there. What you cant buy, sell or trade is your 2nd Amendment, and trying to do so will get your ad removed and banned from Facebook. I have had enough of people pushing their agenda. I am fighting back with this site. It’s absolutely free. Its just getting started and is barebones at the moment. As time goes on, more categories and content will be added. Disclaimer about firearms – it is unlawful to sell a firearm to someone you know cannot legally possess. It is not illegal to sell private citizen to citizen. If you are unsure or wish to err on the side of caution, I would recommend having a NICs ran. There are several FFL’s around that can assist with this. I am one of them.
