The statement in question will be added to the handbook:
"We do not discriminate or bully any student based on cultural, religious, or gender identity. This statement does not intend to curtail opinion, but to outline acceptable behavior to engender a safe learning environment for all students.
Personally, i'm offended that the handbook is not inclusive enough and should add an "or trans-species identity'. I have written in the past about the importance of accepting trans-species individuals in 'the current year'. Anyway, the minutes are below and they are definitely worth reading (if the document doesn't load on this page just click the box on the top right corner of the document):
