The Hollis School is hosting Dancing with the Spirit, a project to connect youth and elders through music. Two musician mentors are staying on site and teaching our students to play fiddle, guitar and mandolin as well as sing and dance. On Thursday at 7:00 PM at the fire hall we will be hosting a Potluck Hoedown with singing and dancing. We will provide complimentary coffee, tea, water and lemonade.
We all hope the Hollis community will bring potluck dishes and join us for an evening to enjoy music and dance and each other.
Please call us at the school or e-mail at lcates@sisd.org if you have questions or might be able to help us set up the fire hall – moving trucks and setting up tents and chairs for our event. We plan on meeting and setting up at 4:00 PM Thursday.
