Craig Police Report [Week of April 23, 2017]

The following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by the Craig Police Department:

4/23/17
12:01 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Tanner Crab, a citation was issued for no insurance, a verbal warning was given for showing white lights to the rear.
1:23 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at Port Bagial and the School, a verbal warning was given for a broken break light.
7:59 a.m. EMS responded to a call at Shaan Seet TC.
11:43 a.m. Received a report of an alarm going off at a local business an officer responded and stated it was just employee error.
1:05 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and JT Brown Industrial rd, a verbal warning was given for speed.
1:08 p.m. Received a complaint from a man Oceanview drive of a ½ ton white dodge pickup that pulled into the lot and he heard a crunching sound as it turned around then left, he wasn’t sure what got hit. An officer responded and stated there was no damage, it was on an older trailer.
6:08 p.m. Received a report from a local business on C/K Hwy and Cold Storage rd of a kid who broke a window and was harassing one of the customers, an officer responded and requested EMS for one of two men involved in an Assault in the fourth degree Domestic Violence.
6:56 p.m. Fire and EMS responded to a call at North Cove Harbor.
7:57 p.m. A 26 yr old male was arrested on charges of Assault in the fourth degree Domestic Violence.

4/24/17
10:41 a.m. Received a report from Klawock officers of an intoxicated male and female driving around, on duty officers advised.
12:21 p.m. Received a report from a man in the Shaan Seet area stating a man took his battery terminals, gave one back but wouldn’t give the other back. An officer responded and spoke with the man that took the terminals, he said he would look for them.
1:37 p.m. Received a report of a missing red/ white Husky from the Lower Harborview TC.
4:41 p.m. Received a report of a woman driving a green F-150 pickup without a license, the vehicle was reported to be at the AC Thompson House, an officer responded.
5:18 p.m. Received a report of a man using his personal vehicle as a cab, an officer responded and spoke with the man, no violation found.
5:27 p.m. Received a report from a man Shaan Seet TC that another man had threatened him, an officer responded and spoke with the individual and the issue was resolved.
5:58 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hw and PSN, a verbal warning was given for speed.

4/25/17
9:15 a.m. Received a report of an alarm going off at a local business officer responded, matter resolved.
9:18 a.m. Received a report from the Harbor of 5 vehicle that have been parked for too long in the lot, officer responded, citations issued to vehicles in violation.
8:47 p.m. EMS responded to 2nd street.
9:42 p.m. A 63 yr old male was arrested on charges of DUI.

4/26/17
6:26 p.m. Received a report of a possibly intoxicated male hanging off the chain link fence near Peace Health, an officer responded transported to the Shaan Seet.
7:04 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at North Cove parking lot, a citation was issued for no proof of insurance and failure to register vehicle.
7:22 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at Water street and Sunnahae Hotel, a verbal warning was given for a headlight out and expired registration.

4/27/17
9:55 p.m. Received a report of a disturbance 3rd street, an officer responded and a verbal warning was given for disorderly conduct, the individual stated they would keep the music down.

4/28/17
6:03 a.m. Received a report of a loose black lab mix with a pink collar at the 100 block of Tanner Crab Ct, the reporting party asked that the owner be warned about letting their dog run loose.
12:22 p.m. Received a report of a loose black lab type dog with a grey muzzle at Achten Ct that is digging up flowers.
12:49 p.m. A 36 yr old male was arrested on charges of a Bench Warrant for Failing To Appear.
4:46 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 5 mile C/K Hwy, a verbal warning was given for speed.
6:05 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 8th and Water street for failure to stop at stop sign, a citation was issued for Driving While License Revoked.
7:05 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Peace Health, a verbal warning was given for studded tires after April 15th.
8:33 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at CTA Parking lot, a verbal warning was given for no break lights.
8:58 p.m. Received a report of people fighting in the street Shaan Seet TC, matter resolved and one female was arrested for DUI.
9:12 p.m. Received a report of a man and woman yelling at each other at the 600 block of Beach Rd. Intoxicated woman taken into Protective Custody.
11:23 A 19 yr old female was put in Protective Custody Hold.
11:49 A 18 yr old female was arrested on charges of DUI.

4/29/17
5:52 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop on C/K Hwy near the high school, a verbal warning was given for speed.
9:17 a.m. Received a report of a disturbance at 300 block of Cedar street, of a female yelling for help and throwing wood. An officer responded and the issue was resolved.
12:43 p.m. EMS responded to a call at 500 block of Beach rd.
1:16 p.m. A 20 yr old male was arrested on charges of Assault in the Third Degree.
1:49 p.m. Received a report of a blue ford with 2 dogs in the back and a female driving and almost hit the reporting party on C/K Hwy near 4 mile, an officer responded and the driver was taken into custody.
2:44 p.m. A 40 yr old female was arrested on charges of DUI.
5:12 p.m. Received a report of damage done to a trailer, burn out marks in the yard, and dogs taken by a woman, an officer responded and returned the dogs to owners.
5:48 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 500/600 block of Shaan Seet TC, a citation was issued for Driving While License Revoked.
7:08 p.m. A 42 yr old male was arrested on charges of DUI.
7:29 p.m. EMS responded to a call at the Ball Park.
10:55 p.m. Received a report from a woman at 6th and Spruce street of a man on his hands and knees in the middle of the road, an officer responded and transported the man to 500 block of Cedar street.
11:14 Conducted a traffic stop at 7th street, a verbal warning was given for failure to use turn signal.

During the week of April 23, 2017 to April 29, 2017 the following complaints were reported and investigated by the Craig Police Department:

0 abandoned vehicles; 6 adult arrest; 4 agency assists; 3 animal reports; 0 assault; 0 bear complaints; 0 burglaries, 3 business assists; 5 citizen assists, 4 citations were issued; 2 criminal mischief; 0 criminal trespass, 0 disorderly conduct; 4 disturbances; 1 domestic dispute; 0 Domestic Violence Orders Served,1 fire call, 0 found property, 0 harassments, 0 juvenile arrest0 juvenile complaints; 1 lost property; 6 medical call; 0 motor vehicle accidents; 0 noise complaints; 1 protective custodies; 0 subpoena served,0 summons served; 2 suspicious circumstances; 0 theft; 5 traffic complaints; 0 unsecured premise, 10 verbal warnings and 0 welfare checks were given
