On 04/22/17 at approximately 1451 hours, Prince of Wales AST responded to a single vehicle crash near MP 18 Klawock-Hollis Hwy. Investigation revealed Cailin Bailey, age 17 of Klawock, fell asleep while driving causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn. Bailey was wearing her seatbelt, no injuries were reported, and alcohol was not a factor.

On 04/26/17 at approximately 1817 hours, Prince of Wales AST responded to a single vehicle crash at MP 1 Boundry Road. Investigation revealed Jennifer Dietrick, age 32 of Naukati, lost control of the vehicle causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn. Dietrick was transported by Klawock EMS for possible injuries. Dietrick was reported to be wearing her seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor.

On 4/26/17, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Prince of Wales Post issued charging documents to Jan D Petersen ( 59 y/o) of Thorne Bay for one count each of Theft II and Criminal Mischief III. The charges stem from an investigation conducted in March 2017 involving theft of timber from private property. Petersen has a mandatory appearance in the Prince of Wales District Court.

On 4/27/17, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Prince of Wales Post issued a summon's to Warren Collins ( 46 y/o) of Craig for retaining undersize king salmon after participating in a commercial salmon troll fishery. Collins has a mandatory appearance in the Prince of Wales District Court
