POW's Very Own Roller Derby Team, The "Salty Derby Dolls!"

Last weekend I had the opportunity to attend the Record Breaking Wellness Fair and talked to many interesting people. Among those were the awesome ladies who are a part of the Prince of Wales Roller Derby team the-- POW Salty Derby Dolls.

The Salty Derby Dolls are always looking for new recruits and invite any ladies interested to come to their practices every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-7:30pm at the Craig City Gym! If you don't have any skates, don't worry, they have you covered!

The ladies said that six of them went to Wrangell, April 1st and participated in a Derby there and took part in four, 40 minute "bouts". I personally have a friend who was a Derby Girl in Juneau and I went to one of the bouts there and it was a blast! It would be great to have these bouts take off and for teams to grow on the island!
