The following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by the
Craig Police Department:
3/5/17
3:07 a.m. An officer provided transport for an individual to their residence in Upper Shaan Seet TC.
3:51 a.m. EMS responded to a call on T&H street.
10:39 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Sunnahae trail, a verbal warning was given for windshield half obstructed with snow.
12:12 p.m. An officer provided transport for an individual from 3 mile C/K Hwy back to the High School.
1:39 p.m. Received a report of a minor fender bender on Water st near Ruth Anne’s Hotel, no injuries reported, an officer responded and a report was taken for insurance.
9:43 p.m. Received a report of a woman getting threatening texts from another woman in the 500 block of Shaan Seet TC, an officer responded and spoke to both women. Both parties were advised not to contact each other.
3/6/17
10:49 a.m. EMS responded to a call at 500 block of Water street.
6:32 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Hilltop, a verbal warning was given for driving without headlights on.
3/7/17
7:18 p.m. Received a report of a disturbance at the 400 block of T&H street, an officer responded and 1 male was taken into Protective Custody.
7:42 p.m. A 81 yr old male was put into Protective Custody.
3/8/17
9:54 a.m. Received a report of a loose dog fighting with other dogs in the 300 block of Shaan Seet TC, the owner was given 2 verbal warnings for failure to register her 2 dogs, and issued 2 citations for animal at large.
10:18 Received a report of an alarm going off at a local business, business contacted and reported no fire, just workers doing tile work.
10:58 a. m. officer provided transport for 1 male to Annie Betty’s.
4:34 p.m. Received a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident 0n the 600 block of Spruce street. A small grey car popped it’s clutch going downhill and ran into a pick causing minimal damage, an officer responded and an investigation was started.
3/9/17
11:40 EMS responded to a call at 200 block on Main street.
11:50 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN near Burn Pit, verbal warnings were given for failing to register vehicle in name and failure to get AK license in 90 days, citations were issued for no insurance and expired registration.
12:02 p.m. Received a report of a jacked up green pickup that drove up on the curb and kept going at C/K Hwy and Totem Park heading toward Klawock, officers in both cities notified.
3:25 p.m. Received a report of vehicles parked in road creating hazardous driving conditions on 5th and Spruce, vehicle owner contacted and advised to move vehicles or be cited.
3:46 p.m. Received a report of 3 dogs running loose near the Forest Service housing, officer responded, dog’s returned to owner’s.
5:56 p.m. A 30 yr old Female was arrested on charges of DUI.
3/10/17
11:19 a.m. Received a report from an individual who is dog sitting the little black dog that was running loose with 2 other dogs yesterday that the dog never came home , she was advised the dog was being looked after by an officer and was returned to the dog sitter. She stated she would come in after work and get the dog licensed.
11:22 a.m. A34 yr old male was arrested on charges of Petition To Revoke Probation.
11:40 a.m. Received a report that a woman slid in her car and hit a sign at the Power building, an officer responded, investigation started.
3:18 p.m. Received a report from a man in the 400 block of T&H street that an intoxicated female was at his house and refusing to leave, an officer responded and the issue was resolved.
10:52 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at Hamilton dr and Achten ct, a citation was issued for no insurance.
11:19 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and Peace Health, a verbal warning was given for failure to stop at a sign.
3/11/17
12:50 a.m. EMS responded to a call at Hill Bar.
10:13 a.m. Received a report of a red pickup parked in a woman’s drive way in the 600 block of Beach rd that didn’t belong there and she would like it moved, an officer responded and contacted the owner to move the vehicle.
10:37 a.m. Received a report of an intoxicated female in the Harborview TC who refused to leave a man’s house, an officer responded and she left the residence.
3:15 p.m. Received a report of a man that locked himself out of his car at a local business near NAPA, an officer responded and helped him unlock his car.
7:57 p.m. Received a report of a laser being shined at passing vehicles from a home near South Cove Harbor, an officer responded.
9:27 p.m. An officer was investigating suspicious persons at the Barge Landing on PSN.
9:52 p.m. Received a report of a vehicle that was stolen from a woman’s home, an officer was notified and an investigation was started.
During the week of March 5, 2017 to March 11, 2017 the following complaints were reported and investigated by the Craig Police Department:
0 abandoned vehicles; 3 adult arrest;10 agency assists; 4 animal reports; 0 assault; 0 bear complaints; 0 burglaries, 2 business assists; 12 citizen assists, 4 citations were issued; 1 criminal mischief; 0 criminal trespass, 0 disorderly conduct; 3 disturbances; 0 domestic dispute; 0 Domestic Violence Orders Served,0 fire call, 0 found property, 1 harassments, 0 juvenile arrest0 juvenile complaints; 0 lost property; 3 medical call; 4 motor vehicle accidents; 0 noise complaints; 1 protective custodies; 0 subpoena served,0 summons served; 2 suspicious circumstances; 0 theft; 3 traffic complaints; 0 unsecured premise, 6 verbal warnings and 1 welfare checks were given
