Craig Police Department:
1/15/17
4:07 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at W. Hamilton and Shelter Cove, a verbal warning was given for speed.
4:53 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 4.6 mile C/K Hwy, a verbal warning was given for speed.
1/16/17
9:01 a.m. A concerned citizen asked to move an abandoned vehicle back away from the road at the 500 block of Water street, he was worried it may be hit by a sand truck or something.
1:21 p.m. Received a report of a man being threatened by another man near AC Store, officer responded and resolved the issue.
4:00 p.m. EMS responded to a call on 2nd street.
7:14 p.m. Received a request for a welfare check of a female on a Crab Bay float house, an officer responded and all is okay.
1/17/17
5:15 p.m. Received a request for an officer to assist a woman in getting her child from the 700 block Shaan Seet where her boyfriend said she was not allowed to be, an officer responded and the issue was resolved.
1/18/17
12:41 a.m. An officer picked up a brown lab on 2nd street, the owner was contacted and picked up the dog.
2:00 a.m. Received a report of noise complaint in the Lower Harborview Trailer Court,
4:12 p.m. A Summons was served near the Post Office.
7:32 p.m. Received a request for an officer in the Upper Harborview Trailer Court for an intoxicated female who would not leave a residence, an officer responded and stated she was outside waiting for a ride.
1/19/17
3:05 a.m. Received a request for an officer to assist in removing a female from the bar, an officer responded and the woman took a cab home.
3:26 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at C/K Hwy and the High School, a citation was issued for expired registration.
1/20/17
1:00 a.m. Received a report of a little black dog that goes by “Jimmy” that ran off by the Harbor, an officer located the animal and the owner was contacted and picked up the animal.
1:59 a.m. Received a report of loud noises and slamming doors that began around 12:15 a.m. in the Lower Harborview near 5th and 6th.
10:50 a.m. Received a report of a dead deer at 2 mile C/K Hwy on road side with Eagles/ Ravens in road, Officer responded and moved deer off roadway.
2:46 p.m. Received a report of 2 teens attempting to break in to a building near the Middle School, an officer responded, an investigation was started.
4:13 p.m. Received a report of a white SUV driving out of control near 1400 block on Sunnyside drive, an officer responded and spoke with the reporting party.
9:07 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop on C/K Hwy near Tanner Crab ct, a verbal warning was given for manor of driving.
1/21/17
12:50 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN and C/K Hwy, a verbal warning was given for no tail/ break lights.
1:00 a.m. Conducted a traffic stop at PSN and 200 block Shaan Seet, 1 male was taken into custody for Driving in Violation Of Instructional Permit, and 1 Juvenile was transported to his grandmothers residence.
4:06 a.m. Received a report of two intoxicated people yelling at each other and rolling a burn barrel down the hill near T&H street, an officer responded and matter resolved.
5:38 p.m. Received a report of suspicious materials near the Sewage Plant/ concerns of possible drug making, an officer responded and investigation started.
9:29 p.m. Received a request for an officer at a local business near AP&T to remove a customer who refused to leave, officers responded and the issue was resolved, the customer left the business.
11:23 p.m. Conducted a traffic stop at 2 mile C/K Hwy, a verbal warning was given for speed.
During the week of January 15, 2017 to January 21, 2017 the following complaints were reported and investigated by the Craig Police Department:
0 abandoned vehicles; 1 adult arrest; 5 agency assists; 3 animal reports; 0 assault; 0 bear complaints; 0 burglaries, 1 business assists; 4 citizen assists, 1 citations were issued; 1 criminal mischief; 0 criminal trespass, 0 disorderly conduct; 8 disturbances; 0 domestic dispute; 0 Domestic Violence Orders Served, 0 fire call, 0 found property, 0 harassments, 1 juvenile arrest 0 juvenile complaints; 0 lost property; 1 medical call; 0 motor vehicle accidents; 0 noise complaints; 0 protective custodies; 0 subpoena served, 1 summons served; 1 suspicious circumstances; 0 theft; 2 traffic complaints; 0 unsecured premise, 6 verbal warnings and 1 welfare checks were given.
