On 11-09-16 at approximately 1630 hours, Prince of Wales AST received a report of a gunshot victim in at the Alicia Roberts Medical Clinic in Klawock. Investigation revealed a 50 YOA male of Anchorage, had been duck hunting in the Thorne Bay area when he slipped on some rocks causing him to drop his semi-automatic shot gun. The shotgun fired after striking the ground and the shot struck the male in the face. The male was treated and released. No foul play is suspected.

On 11/12/2016 at about 1720 hours, Prince of Wales State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on 2004 Toyota pickup on Sandy Beach Road north of Thorne Bay Road. The driver, identified as 52 year old Randy Sharpe of Thorne Bay was determined to be operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Sharpe was also in possession of a loaded .270 rifle at the time of stop. Sharpe was arrested for DUI and Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Fourth Degree. Sharpe was transported to the Craig Jail where he was released O/R.
