Type: Tampering with Physical Evidence, Probation violation.

On 10/20/16 at 1200 hours, a Village Public Safety Officer (VPSO) on Prince of Wales Island was assisting Adult Probations by conducting a probation check on Travis Gresham, age 66 of Hydaburg. Gresham was requested to provide a urine sample for drug screening. The sample provided by Gresham was suspicious, and during questioning by the VPSO, Gresham admitted to using another person’s urine instead of his own to avoid testing positive for narcotics. Gresham was transported to the Craig Jail facility where he provided another sample, which subsequently tested positive for narcotics. Gresham was remanded into the Craig Jail facility for the probation violation. One felony count of tampering with physical evidence will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office against Gresham.

Type: Warrant Arrest

On 10/21/2016 at approximately 1505 hours, Prince of Wales State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Craig for an equipment violation. The passenger was identified as 30 year old Joshua Cristelli of Craig. Investigation revealed Cristelli to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear. Cristelli was remanded on the warrant at the Craig Jail.

Type: Fail to Validate Harvest Tag

On 10-11-16, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Prince of Wales Post cited Larry Nutter (56 YOA) of Klawock for harvesting a black bear and failed to validate his harvest tag. Bailed is set at $160 in the Craig District Court.
