Text: On 11/16/15 at approximately 0830 hours, Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales Island received a report of a single vehicle collision near mile 20 of the Hydaburg Road. Investigation revealed that Deborah Reynolds, 56 of Hydaburg, had been travelling northbound on the Hydaburg Road near mile 20 when she lost control of her 2011 Subaru Outback due to the icy road conditions. Reynolds' vehicle left the roadway, rolled over once, and came to rest in the ditch. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $10,000.00. Reynolds did not sustain any injuries in the incident.

Text: On 11/16/15 at approximately 1850 hours, Alaska State Troopers on Prince of Wales Island received a report of a single vehicle collision near mile 15 of the Klawock-Hollis Hwy. Investigation revealed that Schance Watkins, 21 of Hollis, had been travelling westbound on the Klawock-Hollis Hwy near mile 15 when he lost control of his 1997 Toyota Pickup due to the icy road conditions. Watkins' vehicle left the roadway, rolled over, and came to rest in the ditch. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $4,000.00. Watkins did not sustain any injuries in the incident.

Type: Illuminating Deer with Artificial Light
Text: On 11-8-2015, Alaska Wildlife Troopers on board the Patrol Vessel Enforcer contacted Brandon Abbott, 30 of Petersburg, near Exchange Cove on Prince of Wales Island. Investigation revealed Abbott illuminated deer with an artificial light that was mounted on a rifle. Abbott was issued a summons to appear into the District Court at Petersburg and his rifle was seized.

Type: Fail To Validate Harvest Ticket and Fail to Leave Evidence of Sex on a Big Game Animal
Text: On 11-16-2015, Alaska Wildlife Troopers based on the Patrol Vessel Enforcer contacted Makena O'Toole, 30 of Cordova, in Hetta Inlet near Prince of Wales Island. Investigation revealed O'Toole had taken two deer and failed to validate his harvest tickets. Further investigation revealed O'Toole failed to leave evidence of sex naturally attached to one of the deer. O'Toole was cited into the District Court at Craig for two counts of failing to validate harvest ticket with a bail amount of $160.00 per count. O'Toole was also cited for failure to leave evidence of sex on a big game animal with a bail amount of $160.00.

Text: On 11/18/15 at approximately 1730 hours Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Prince of Wales Post, conducted a search and rescue operation for Hal Priser, 50 of Kasaan. Priser had been hiking the shoreline of Kasaan Peninsula east of the village when he had become disoriented at nightfall and was not dressed for the weather. AWT Troopers on board a vessel from Hollis located Priser and returned him unharmed to Kasaan. The US Coast Guard from Ketchikan also responded and was in route at the time Priser was located.

Type: Fail to salvage edible meat/take doe closed season/fail to validate harvest tag.
Text: On 11/19/15 Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Prince of Wales Post, cited Berton Duncan, 26 of Craig, for taking a doe blacktail deer in a closed season. The area the deer was taken was on land only subject to state hunting regulations. Duncan was further cited for failing to salvage all of the edible meat of the deer and failing to validate his harvest tag. Duncan was given a December 3 court date in District Court at Craig. The deer was seized and donated to a charity.

nce of Wales Island conducted a traffic stop on a 1995 International work t
ruck for equipment and speed violations. Troopers identified the driver of
the vehicle as Thomas A. Click, age 54 of Thorne Bay. Investigation revea
led that Click was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Click was placed under arrest for DUI and transported to the Craig Jail facility where he was remanded with a bail set at $1500.00.
